Here at Advanced Chiropractic & Wellness Center, we’re often asked, “How often should you see a chiropractor in order to see long-lasting results?”
Chiropractic care provides relief from a number of ailments, including injury due to an accident, pain caused by poor posture, sports-related strain, and more. However, the level and frequency of chiropractic care depends upon the reason for your visit.
Regardless of the reasons that brought you in for your first visit to the chiropractor, regular adjustments and care are typically recommended if you wish to reap the full benefits of your treatment. Sometimes, acute pain due to injury may require more frequent visits, sometimes multiple times a week.
Once your doctor has set you on the path toward improvement, your schedule may be adjusted, allowing for more space in between your visits as your body begins to properly heal itself.
Another reason for visiting the chiropractor could be for preventative measures. Should you feel the onset of upper or lower back pain, headaches, or other ailments setting in, a visit to the chiropractor could be the holistic approach your body needs to stave off the worst of it. In this case, you may only need to schedule a couple of appointments at first, followed by monthly visits for maintenance purposes.
The most important thing to do is to discuss your issues honestly and thoroughly with your chiropractor. They will be able to create the perfect plan for you which will help return your body to full health – and keep it there!
